Our own visitor statistics (no cookies)
To understand how the site is used, we record page views, time spent on the page, how far you scroll, whether you interacted with the page, approximate location (country and city, derived from your IP address), browser and device type, language and the page you came from. We do not use cookies or similar storage for this. Your IP address is not stored: it is only used to look up approximate location and to create a pseudonymous identifier that changes every day, so visits cannot be linked across days. To determine approximate location, the IP address is sent to an IP geolocation service. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). These statistics are deleted automatically after 24 months at the latest.

Google Analytics (only with your consent)
If you click “Accept” in the cookie banner, Google Analytics is loaded and sets cookies (such as _ga)
to measure use of the site. Google processes this data, which may involve transfer to the United States under the
EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework. If you click “Decline”, Google Analytics is not loaded. You can change your choice at any
time using the “Cookies” button at the bottom of the page; withdrawing consent removes the Analytics cookies.
The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
What is stored in your browser
Only your cookie choice is stored in your browser, so that we can respect it on later visits.
Retention
Our own statistics are deleted automatically after 24 months at the latest. Google Analytics data is retained according to the settings in Google Analytics, for a maximum of 14 months.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase personal data, to restrict processing and to object. Contact us at geir@otimo.no. You may also lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet), datatilsynet.no.
